Our Process

Executive Research is the foundation of every search requisition we are engaged on. We continuously expand and update our extensive database of senior level candidates encompassing most areas within Financial Services and Pharmaceuticals. New, customized research is performed on every engagement and is integrated with our existing candidate database.
Both industries remain separate and distinct within our practice; however, the following process is utilized for all searches.

  1. Client identifies the target companies. Mayer Search will broaden the scope of target companies as our recruiters recognize talent at other organizations.
  2. Execute in-depth research at client-specified companies to obtain relevant candidate data including, job title, functional role, contact information, data points, reporting structure and diversity (upon request).
  3. Profile each candidate for critical criteria as detailed in the job description – Conduct in-depth phone interviews to determine candidate’s career objectives, business background/accomplishments, compensation level, cultural fit, and motivation to make a career move.
  4. Submit profiles of qualified candidates for approval.
  5. Assist, coordinate, and expedite the interview process with client.
  6. Actively participate and consult throughout the negotiation process to point of hire.
